Native American jewelry began not as ornamentation, but as strong symbol and story of the various nations'peoples. The fact that they are beautiful has drawn other peoples of North America to admire, emulate, and collect these finely made pieces. Our store is a trading post where artists come and sell their pieces and often times trade for items in the store, too. The main influences of the jewelry we carry are Santo Domingo Pueblo and the Navajo Nation and these artists have become friends to all of us.

The TP SADDLEBLANKET & TRADING INC. was founded in 1990 by Tasha Polizzi. Located in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, the company designs and manufactures women’s and men’s apparel, home furnishings, and accessories under the TASHA POLIZZI and TP SADDLEBLANKET brands.

Tasha had an extensive design background including apparel, home furnishings, leather fashion accessories, footwear and furniture. Working with RALPH LAUREN as head of Women’s Design for ten years, Tasha then went on to spend three years with CALVIN KLEIN as Director of Women and Men’s Design, and later was instrumental in the revitalization of BANANA REPUBLIC.

Tasha Polizzi Studio carries on her work and inspiration now that she has passed away. Her lifelong interest and respect for Native American culture continues to inform their designs. The company manufactures in the US, China and India.
